Novice Rower: No prior rowing experience. A rower who has completed one or more summer or fall novice camps is still considered a novice until the rower has completed a competitive rowing season with a high school rowing team.
Experienced Rower: An experienced rower is a rower who has completed at least one competitive rowing season with a high school rowing team. When registering, an experienced rower needs to identify their rowing preference: sweep, sculling, either.
SUMMER NOVICE (Beginner) CAMPS: Middle school students must be a rising seventh or eighth grader and must be at least 12 years old by June 2017. All high school students are welcome. The coach to rower ratio will be no greater than one coach per eight rowers. The camp will focus on introducing basic rowing skills.

Summer Semester Novice (Beginner) Camp
SUMMER JUNIOR SMALL BOATS CAMPS
- Junior Introduction to Sculling Skills camp is for both experienced Junior (high school) men and women rowers. The program is for rowers who have completed at least one high school rowing spring season. Sculling experience is NOT required. The coach to rower ratio will be no greater than one coach per six rowers. The camp will focus on sculling skills, introducing sculling to sweep rowers and on refining sculling skills for rowers who have a sculling background. Rowers will row in quads, doubles, and singles.
- Junior Small Boats Camp is for both experienced Junior (high school) men and women . The program is for rowers who have completed at least one high school rowing spring season. The coach to rower ratio will be no greater than one coach per eight rowers. The camp will focus on refining both sweep and sculling skills, challenging workouts at various distances and stroke ratings. Coaching is designed to provide feedback on technical and physical performance to prepare the athlete for competition at a high level and to maintain a disciplined course on the water. Most rowers will row in fours, quads and doubles, but more experienced scullers may also row in singles.
